COVID-19 UPDATE

Our community has been through a lot over the last few months, and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your safety.

Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice and you have seen/will see this during your visits to our office. Our infection control processes are made so that when you receive care, it’s both safe and comfortable. We want to tell you about the infection control procedures we follow in our practice to keep patients and staff safe.

Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued. We do this to make sure that our infection control procedures are current and adhere to each agencies’ recommendations.

You may see some changes when it is time for your next appointment. The following implementations and guidelines will be in effect indefinitely at this time. We made these changes to help protect our patients and staff. For example:

  • Our office will communicate with you beforehand to ask some screening questions. You will be asked those same questions again when you are in the office.
  • All patients will be screened upon arrival using guidelines provided by the CDC.
  • You will receive an automated text message within an hour prior to your appointment that asks you to message back with the word “HERE” upon parking in the parking lot – please remain in your vehicle. If text messaging is not available to you, please call our office and remain in your vehicle. A member of our team will inform you if and when you may enter the building in order to minimize interaction with other patients.
  • We kindly ask that you present to the office with a face covering or a mask and keep them on until instructed to remove them and back on immediately following your treatment.
  • We kindly ask that only patients enter the building when at all possible unless the patient is a minor and/or require physical assistance.
  • We have hand sanitizer that we will ask you to use immediately as you enter the building. You will also find some in the reception area and other places in the office for you to use as needed.
  • You may see that our waiting room will no longer offer magazines, since those items are difficult to clean and disinfect. As always, we have complimentary Wi-Fi for our patients and visitors for their own phone, tablet, or laptop usage.
  • All disposable cups at our beverage station will be stored away and will be provided for you upon request to minimize contamination of cups.
  • Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients as well as to allow time for additional sanitizing/disinfection between patients. That might mean that you are offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment. This will allow us to reduce waiting times for you, as well as to reduce the number of patients in the reception area at any one time.
  • You will always see our doctors and staff with proper Personal Protective Equipment from the moment you arrive, which means you may not see our smiling faces when you are in the office. Please remember, we are always smiling and welcoming you under all the gear!
  • Lastly, all CDMR doctors and staff will be screened upon arrival and adhere to social distancing guidelines whenever possible.

We look forward to seeing you and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep you, and every patient, safe in our practice. If you have any questions or to make an appointment, please call our office at (781) 728-5455 or e-mail us at hello@mycdmr.com.

Thank you for being our patient and part of CDMR family. We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming back our patients, neighbors and friends.

Our team is skilled, knowledgeable and detailed.
