Partial Dentures
A denture is a type of prosthetic device that is constructed to replace missing teeth and surrounding tissues. There are two types of dentures available: partial dentures and complete dentures.
A removable partial denture (RPD) is a removable appliance that is used to restore damaged oral function and esthetics if some, but not all, teeth have been lost. Made of replacement teeth attached to a pink or gum-colored plastic base, which are sometimes reinforced using a metal framework or can be completely made of different types of acrylic resin plastics, partials help restore better functionality to the mouth by replacing diminished function resulting from missing teeth.
