One of our newest technologies in our location, the CBCT (Cone Beam Computed Tomography), is a cutting-edge alternative to the conventional CT scan and an incredible improvement on the traditional x-ray. This machine takes three-dimensional images of your mouth that is quicker, easier, and with less radiation than a conventional CT. Most importantly for our patients, when combined with state of the art digital implant planning software in-house at our office, we offer enhanced treatment planning and accuracy through digital planning during implant surgeries involving one site or several sites in the mouth.
Additionally, our CBCT allows us to take true digital 2D panoramic x-rays, allowing us to monitor growth and diagnose problems.
Previously, we were limited to only a two dimensional view and low resolution x-rays, which made it harder to detect problems. The CBCT has changed that, making your diagnosis and treatment planning more precise and more accurate than ever before.
